Okaloosa County Clerk of Circuit Court

Whistle Blower Protection Policy

The Clerk of Circuit Court is committed to providing a workplace and citizen service arena in which there is open discussion of operations and practices. Accordingly, anyone who has reason to believe the Clerk’s Office is violating or not complying with state or federal statutes, rules or regulations is encouraged to report the concern to the Clerk of Circuit Court, or any member of Clerk’s Office management.  Any staff member, vendor, or member of the public who reports suspected misconduct, fraud, or abuse will not be terminated or otherwise retaliated against for making the report.  The report will be investigated and even if determined not to be misconduct, fraud, or abuse, the individual making the report will not be retaliated against. There will be no punishment for reporting problems –including no termination, demotion, suspension, harassment, or any other type of discrimination.
